Who we are

The quote form

When you send the form on our website we get your name, how to contact you, your rough area, what needs doing and when suits. That is emailed to us and it is used to reply to you about the job. It is not sold, shared or added to any marketing list.

The offers pop-up

If you put your email in the offers box, we keep it so we can tell you about offers. It goes nowhere else. Reply to any message and say stop and we will take you off, no questions.

The chat box

The chat on our site is automated. What you type is sent to Anthropic, who run the assistant that writes the replies, so that it can answer you. It is also visible to Louis. We do not keep a copy of the conversation on our website once you close it, and nothing you type in the chat is used for marketing.

Please do not put card details, passwords or anything else sensitive into the chat. If you need to give us something like that, ring us instead.

How long we keep things

Enquiries and job records stay in our email and our records for as long as we might need them, which for work we have carried out means several years, because certificates, guarantees and tax records require it. Anything that never turned into a job we clear out once it is plainly dead.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. The chat keeps what you have typed in your own browser only while the chat is open, so it can show you the conversation.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@lanawayelectrical.co.uk and we will sort it. If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
