Cable tray
Perforated and return flange, set out straight and level, cut ends deburred and capped.
Shops, offices, cafes, warehouses and units being fitted out. Containment, distribution, power, lighting, and the maintenance that keeps it running afterwards. Lanaway Electrical is Lanaway Organisation Ltd, company number 16879639, and it is two people: Louis and his son Finley, working out of Folkestone across Kent. That is the whole firm, and it is the point. The person who prices your job is the person you ring when something goes wrong, and the price is fixed and agreed before anything starts.
Perforated and return flange, set out straight and level, cut ends deburred and capped.
Steel and PVC conduit, bent on site, saddled at proper centres, runs square to the building.
Heavier horizontal runs and risers for the big cable, spliced and fixed so nothing moves under the pull.
Square section with a lift off lid, so the run stays accessible long after the fit out.
Off the drum, over the rollers, through the bends and into the run, without stretching or scoring anything.
SWA sub mains to units, plant and outbuildings, glanded and terminated properly.
Distribution boards, sub mains, small power and the circuits that feed the floor.
Commercial is priced after a look, and there is no honest way round that. Two units the same size can be a week apart in labour depending on what is above the ceiling and what is already in the ground. Anyone quoting a commercial fit out down the phone is guessing, and a guess gets corrected on your invoice.
So it goes like this. Send drawings, a scope, or just photos of the area, enough to see what the runs are. Louis comes and looks. Quote visits are usually Friday evenings or Saturday mornings, because he is out on jobs Monday to Friday. You get a fixed price in writing before anything starts, and the number agreed is the number invoiced.
What moves a price:
What does not move it: us finding the job harder than we expected. If we have seen it and priced it, that is our problem, not a variation. Genuine changes to the scope are priced and agreed before they are done, never added at the end.
Smaller work and maintenance visits run on the published rate, £80 for the first hour and £48 an hour after that, and a fault find is £80 to £180. Those are a guide, not a quote. Fixed price once we have seen the job. The rest of the price guide is on the site so you can see what we charge before you ring.
We are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT on the invoice. On commercial that matters less than it sounds, because a business that is registered for VAT reclaims it anyway. It is a real saving on domestic work and we only claim it there.
We are not going to tell you we are the biggest or the oldest, because we are neither. The company was incorporated in November 2025 and there are two of us. Here is what is true, and what it is worth on your site.
All completed work is inspected, tested and certificated through a registered contractor we work with, and we provide all the required certificates.
Tell us the hours in your first message and the quote comes back built around them instead of needing a second conversation. Louis and the team are out on jobs Monday to Friday, so out of hours work is a scheduling question, and you will get a straight yes or no on your dates rather than a maybe. Where one long shutdown is not an option, the work can be staged over several visits so you lose an hour at a time instead of a day.
All completed work is inspected, tested and certificated through a registered contractor we work with, and we provide all the required certificates. Tell us at the start what your handover file needs and it gets built as the job goes rather than chased afterwards.
Single runs through to full fit outs and refits: containment packages, board changes, sub mains, lighting schemes and maintenance for shops, offices, cafes, warehouses and small industrial units. Two people sets a ceiling, and that ceiling gets stated at the quote instead of discovered halfway through. If the job is too big for us, we will say so and you have lost nothing but the look.
Louis and Finley do the work, start to finish. The inspection and testing is done by the registered contractor we work with, so nobody has to be told twice what the job is and nothing gets lost between the quote and the work. On a busy site that is worth more than it sounds.
Drawings, a scope, or just photos of the area, enough to see what the runs are. You get a price or a clear next step back, and nobody turns up unless you ask them to.
